The leader of the D.C based ministry organization “Capitol Ministries,” Ralph Drollinger, has commended Vice President Mike Pence for influencing President Trump in his selection of what he’d call “on fire” Christians to be a part of his administration.

According to the Christian Post, Drollinger leads weekly Bible studies with members of the Trump cabinet. Speaking on a recent prayer call event held by “Intercessors for America,” Drollinger stated that many of the individuals who were chosen for top-tier cabinet positions were regular attendees of the House and Senate Bible studies held by his ministry organization. Drollinger is convinced that Mike Pence, himself a devout Christian, had a hand in many of these key appointments.
“We could see that the Trump administration once they were elected were actually plucking members from the House and Senate [Bible] study so we had a purview of what was happening in terms of someone, I think it was Mike Pence, who knew the lay of the land and who the strong believers were … we could see a lot of them had that in common and really loved Jesus Christ,” Drollinger explained on the call.

Drollinger added that after Trump’s cabinet was complete, Attorney General Jeff Sessions and former Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price asked him to host a cabinet Bible study, “because they were used to a high protein diet of the word of God.”
“So these guys are really on fire for Christ and it’s a lovely group to lead. It’s the best Bible study I’ve ever led and that’s only the Holy Spirit’s doing and your prayers,” Drollinger explained. “We’ve got a lot of the leaders of the nation that really love Christ and are really excited about growing in their walk with him.”
Vice President Pence has been very open about his Christian faith ever since taking office. Last year, he spoke to CBN News about some of the faith-filled gatherings that were taking place inside the White House. “I’ve been with this President in the Oval Office with religious leaders,” Pence explained. “When people have asked to pause for a moment of prayer and the President readily embraces that. I think he’s always very humbled and grateful by the support of believers.”
“We understand the role of faith in the life of this nation,” Pence continued. “The American people I think can be encouraged to know that in President Donald Trump, they have a leader who embraces and respects and appreciates the role of faith and the importance of religion in the lives of our families, in communities in our nation and he always will.”
