On Saturday, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey shared a seemingly innocuous picture that quickly garnered the fury of the LGBT movement.
The screenshot, posted on Dorsey’s official Twitter account, detailed a purchase he made at Chick-fil-A.

Dorsey immediately started receiving angry tweets from users condemning his decision to patronize a company that has been an outspoken advocate of traditional marriage.

Why is Twitter boosting a notoriously anti-gay company during #PrideMonth
and an outspokenly Christian company during #Ramadan?— Victoria Brownworth (@VABVOX) June 11, 2018
Former CNN host Soledad O’Brien was among the offended. In a separate tweet, O’Brien alluded to the problematic timing of the purchase, as it coincided with Pride Month, which celebrates the gay community.

Shortly afterwards, Dorsey replied and even apologized for supporting the company, given their “background”:

In 2012, Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy stated on a radio show that he believed in “the biblical definition of marriage,” exclusively between a man and a woman.
Over the years there have been many critiques of this issue, with people calling for boycotts and protests over his personal beliefs.
Aside from the obvious problem of Dorsey bowing down to his disgruntled critics, there is an even more curious problem at the heart of his exchange with O’Brien.

In 2012, O’Brien spoke at a Chick-Fil-A Leadership conference, along with Christian leaders John Maxwell, Tim Tebow and others at the “Leadercast” event. But that took place in May, so maybe she gets a pass?
