To be a full-time student, work, and play for a major football program is quite an amazing schedule to juggle.
So, you can imagine why there was such an emotional outburst at the end of a recent practice when Coach Franklin broke the news that he no longer needed to work that job.
“Quit, you’re on full scholarship,” Franklin said as the team erupted into cheers.
“You earned this!” one of his teammates could be heard saying.
“I love every single one of you guys, I appreciate this so much,” Vasey said as his team huddled around. The video shows a few more moments of the celebration, including celebratory hugs.
Always great to see when hard work is rewarded! Congrats to this senior, who put in the time and never gave up.
