Yet on a recent visit to New York University, conservative news site Campus Reform interviewed many students who said they hated Trump’s fictional nominee — some even called the nominee racist!
Last week Cabot Phillips, Campus Reform’s media director, walked around the NYU campus asking students what they thought of Trump’s nominee.
Instead of replying that they didn’t have an opinion (again, due to the fact that Trump has yet to name a nominee), they decided to express their strong views on the made-up person.
“He’s quite extreme in his views,” said one student.
“I saw it all over the news, that he’s, like, racist,” another student said.
“I saw the new nominee is like racist, and he’s starting a new wave of something very negative, and I’m really scared about the future and what choices he will make,” another student added.
One faculty member, when asked if she had seen what was going on online regarding the nomination, said that there was “outrage” but quickly added, “as it should be.”
