In the brand new teaser for Last Man Standing Mike Baxter, played by Tim Allen, subtly thanked Fox for picking up the show to the delight of his fans.

Tim Allen Reveals Premiere Date for New Season of Conservative ‘Last Man Standing’
In the first teaser for the rebooted version of Last Man Standing, Allen made sure to take a well-intentioned jab at ABC from the start.
The teaser trailer opens up with Allen and his wife Vanessa, played by actress Nancy Travis, enjoying the outdoors while sitting by a fire.
All is calm until Vanessa suddenly says: “Look at that! Look! It’s a fox!”
Allen then asks Vanessa “what?” Asking her to repeat it three times.
“I’m sorry I didn’t hear you. What is that?” he asks.
Travis who is blatantly holding in a laugh says, “A fox!”
Allen then turns to the camera, smiles and says: “I know somebody’s gonna be happy you said that three times.”
Hilarious!
Last Man Standing will premiere on Friday, September 28, on Fox.
Many speculated that the Disney-affiliated media company had canceled it due to Tim Allen’s conservative views, and the fact that there were pro-conservative themes seen throughout the show. ABC claimed it cut ties due to the high cost.
After a year of discussion and negotiations of finding a new home for Last Man Standing, Fox finally picked up the show and will be rebooting it this fall.
