It’s like rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.
Our society is perpetually exchanging one form of discrimination for another in a culture that ironically elevates “tolerance” — no matter how distorted the definition — above all other virtues.
A woman who frequented a Planet Fitness gym in Leesburg, Florida, has reportedly been banned from the facility after she told management sharing a locker room with a transgender woman made her uncomfortable, LifeSite News reported.
The woman, identified only as “Mrs. H,” is a survivor of sexual assault, according to a letter from the Liberty Counsel, the conservative law firm representing her. Because she survived an attempted rape, the memo reads, Mrs. H “is keenly aware of and sensitive to men in places where they do not have a legitimate purpose, and where she and other women are in a position of vulnerability.”

But her legitimate experiences apparently didn’t account for much. In May, Mrs. H’s membership to Planet Fitness was revoked.
This is not the first time the transgender woman in question — a man named Jordan “Ivy” Rice — has been at the center of controversy, the Liberty Counsel alleged in its letter:
Another woman reported that [Rice] exposed his naked body to her in the women’s locker room at this location. In another instance, [Rice] was involved in an argument with another woman over use of the tanning room. Misogynist, anti-woman harassment should have no place in Planet Fitness locations, and violates Florida law.
The lawyers representing the woman — Mary McAlister and Richard Mast — called on Planet Fitness to “immediately reinstate” Mrs. H’s membership and make changes to its locker room policies in order to “prevent blatant sex-based harassment by males in the women’s lockers and restrooms.”

Initially, Mrs. H respectfully asked Rice to leave the locker room, according to the Liberty Council’s letter. Rice allegedly “smirked” and later applied makeup “where he had a full view of every single woman entering or exiting the shower area.” Rice reportedly remained in the restroom for “at least an hour” while Mrs. H waited outside.
According to her lawyers, Mrs. H believes Rice remained in the locker room for so long in order to provoke her.
Rice called the police to report Mrs. H, whom he claimed had sexually harassed him. However, no report was filed in connection with Rice’s 911 call, which you can listen to here.
