There’s nothing quite as moving as good military reunion story — except, perhaps, one that involves an adorable, fluffy canine.
Army pilot Zack Vohaska returned home to Woodstock, Illinois, after being deployed in Afghanistan for six months, excited to see his family, his friends and his loyal Golden Retriever, Buddy.
While he was overseas for the past six months, Vohaska was missed dearly by many, but perhaps most by his dog. Zack got Buddy while he was in flight school for the military, adding special significance to their bond.
When he returned he decided to play a trick on his four-legged companion, hiding on the couch under a bunch of blankets and pillows.
Footage of the reunion shows Buddy slowly walking over to the couch, his tail wagging visibly faster as he realizes who is under the pile.
