New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham, Jr., was baptized during a recent trip to the Holy Land.
In a series of Instagram photos posted this week, Beckham wrote he “couldn’t of asked for anything more.” And in a photo from his baptism in Israel’s Jordan River, he declared, “FRESH START … What a time.”
The NFL superstar followed TV personality Mario Lopez, who traveled to Israel in March and was also baptized in the Jordan River. At the time, the “Extra” host described the experience as “moving.”
For his part, Beckham received a lot of congratulatory messages following his decision to be baptized during his trip to the Holy Land.
“When the smoke has cleared and everyone is done cheering your name it will always be you and the Lord!!!!” one commenter wrote. “He will never leave you!!!! I was baptized later in life and I thank Him every day for His glory.”

Beckham’s religious posts come after the football star was accused of illegally trying to pay a woman $1,000 for sex. New court documents filed this week in California supposedly contain “evidence” to prove the allegation, lawyer Emmanuel Nsahlai said.
Lawyers for the New York Giants player said in a statement Beckham “denies the recently added allegations and further denies any wrongdoing whatsoever related to the alleged incident.”
