The language is raw but the message is real: Nothing can separate us from the love of God.
In a post first shared on Instagram by Harvest Christian Fellowship pastor Jarrid Wilson and later posted to Facebook by evangelist Greg Laurie, a man is seen with the words “f*** love” tattooed across the left side of his head.
From a marketing standpoint, the post was risky. But Wilson and the rest of the team at Harvest thought it was important enough to share anyway because it showed what real life is like — unfiltered and uncensored.

The man, whose identity has not been disclosed, attended the Harvest Crusade over the weekend at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California, where Laurie has hosted faith-based rallies for nearly 30 years.
The attendee became a Christian on the first day of the three-night event.
In an interview with Faithwire, Wilson said it’s the “most engaging photo” he’s ever posted to Instagram.
“This shows why we do what we do,” he said. “This shows what the Harvest Crusade is all about. I know it’s raw, I know it’s nitty-gritty, I know it’s a little vulgar. But it’s real. This is real life.”
After Wilson posted the powerful photo, Laurie decided to share the image on his own social media accounts, where it quickly became his “most engaging” post, too.
Looking through the comments himself, Wilson said it’s “so cool” to see others on Instagram and Facebook choosing to look past the vulgar tattoo and instead see how God is moving in this man’s life.
“It was everything we do in one picture,” Wilson said.
