CNN anchor Jake Tapper revealed Tuesday he’s donating 100 percent of the advance for the film adaptation of his 2012 book to charities working with U.S. military veterans.
Tapper’s book, “The Outpost: An Untold Story of American Valor,” chronicles the harrowing battle for Combat Outpost Keating. The journalist’s 673-page historical epic tells the story of the American military installation built in 2006 and named after 1st Lt. Ben Keating, 27, who was stationed there but tragically died in a vehicle rollover that same year.
