Kanye West has been extremely vocal in his support for President Donald Trump. Over the past year, the rapper has received incredible pushback from his fans and fellow artists who believe he is doing a disservice to the black community by backing the Republican president.
The most recent celebrity to attack West for his beliefs is none other than fellow rapper, Snoop Dogg, who called him an “Uncle Tom” after he posted a picture of himself in a red Make American Great Again hat on Instagram Monday.
‘A Deadly Sin’: Kanye West Tells Kimmel Why Pride is Never a Good Thing
In his post, which followed the pro-Trump monologue he delivered over the weekend on “Saturday Night Live,” Kanye explained his favorable opinion of the president, and his desire to repeal the 13th Amendment.
“This represents good and America becoming whole again. We will no longer outsource to other countries. We build factories here in America and create jobs. We will provide jobs for all who are free from prisons as we abolish the 13th amendment,” he wrote. “Message sent with love.”

An Instagram account called “Baller Alert” posted a screenshot of West’s Instagram post, along with comments posted by DJ Pooh and Snoop Dogg.
DJ Pooh wrote, “MAGA – Music Ain’t Getting Attention,” while Snoop said, “Make ya music great again n***a,” calling West an “Uncle Tom a** n***a.”

During his Sept. 28 appearance on SNL, Kanye donned his MAGA hat and openly praised the president.
“So many times I talk to a white person and [they] say, ‘How could you like Trump, he’s racist?’ Well, if I was concerned about racism, I would have moved out of America a long time ago,” he said.
The rapper then addressed the “sunken place” comments and criticism he has been receiving over the past year, with many accusing him of not being aware of or refusing to acknowledge systemic racial injustice.
“You wanna see the sunken place? O.K., I’ma listen to y’all now. I’ma put my Superman cape on because this means you can’t tell me what to do. . . . You want the world to move forward? Try love,” he added.
West also retweeted a tweet from the president, in which he insulted the show while commending West for sticking up for his beliefs.
“Like many, I don’t watch Saturday Night Live (even though I past hosted it) – no longer funny, no talent or charm. It is just a political ad for the Dems,” President Trump wrote. “Word is that Kanye West, who put on a MAGA hat after the show (despite being told “no”), was great. He’s leading the charge!

Regarding his controversial stance on the 13th Amendment, Kanye attempted to clarify on Twitter what he meant by “abolishing” the amendment that made slavery illegal.
“The 13th Amendment is slavery in disguise. Meaning it never ended. We are the solution that heals,” he tweeted.

It seems that Snoop has already gotten over West’s comments as he posted a video of West on his Instagram captioned “forgiveness is everything.”
