Two middle school girls in Florida have been accused of plotting to kill classmates and, rather disturbingly, consume their victims’ blood. The youths, ages 11 and 12, reportedly entered Bartow Middle School armed with knives Tuesday before being apprehended. The Bartow Police Department assured the public that no one was injured during the incident.

The girls now face a range of charges, including conspiracy to commit first-degree murder and possession of a weapon at school, according to KABC-TV. Deputy Police Chief Bryan Dorman added that prosecutors have not yet decided whether the girls will be tried as juveniles or adults.
According to their detailed plan, the girls intended to hide in the school bathroom and wait for younger and weaker students to enter, before cutting their throats, slicing them into pieces and drinking their blood. The grizzly killing spree would end with the pair committing suicide by stabbing themselves, authorities said.
“The plan was to kill at least 1 student but were hoping to kill anywhere from 15-25 students,” detailed a court affidavit. “Killing all of these students was in hopes it would make them worse sinners ensuring that after they committed suicide … (they) would go to hell so they could be with Satan.”
Following a search of one of the girl’s phones, investigators said they found a message which revealed the girls planned “to leave body parts at the entrance,” before killing themselves, according to WFTV-TV.

Detectives added that the pair had been watching “scary” movies over the weekend, which had the potential of adding fuel to the girl’s gruesome plans. When the suspects did not show up to class Tuesday, a member of staff was sent to look for them. It was after this that the two were discovered in the bathroom. After being brought into a school administrator’s office, weapons including knives, a pizza cutter and a knife sharpener were discovered in their possession.
“School staff quickly responded to a report of suspicious behavior; the students were taken into custody, and no one was harmed,” school officials said in a tweet.
Officials with Polk County Schools stated that extra police officers and guidance counselors would be at the school this week to offer support to teachers and staff in light of the terrifying incident.
