Hollywood producer, director, actor and screenwriter Tyler Perry paid off nearly $450,000 in Walmart layaways at three different locations in Atlanta.
Perry shared news of his good deeds in a video he posted to Twitter on Thursday:

“I know it’s a hard time, a lot of people are struggling and I’m just really, really grateful to be able to be in a position to do this,” he said. “God Bless, go get your stuff, Merry Christmas.”
Perry admitted in the video he intended to make the hearty donation anonymously “but due to some circumstances … you know how nothing stays secret these days, I just wanted to go ahead and tell you.”

Walmart thanked Perry for his kind-hearted Christmas gift.
“Anonymous or not, we hope you know that you just made Christmas for so many families,” the store tweeted. “You went above and beyond. Thank you.”
The three Walmart stores were located in East Point and Douglasville, Georgia.
