Last week, Chance the Rapper announced to his 9.2 million Instagram followers that he was taking a sabbatical from his successful career to learn the Word of God.
“I’m going away to learn the Word of God which I am admittedly very unfamiliar with,” he shared.

“I’ve been brought up by my family to know Christ but I haven’t taken it upon myself to really just take a couple days and read my bible,” he added, touching on something that resonates with many Christians.
The rapper added that he wanted to take time to actually learn the Bible, and not just quote Scripture when it suits his own agenda.
“We all quote scripture and tell each other what God likes and doesn’t like but how much time do we spend as followers of Jesus to really just read and KNOW his Word?” he wrote.
Since sharing his news to Instagram, he has continuously updated his followers with his journey, even reading the book of Galatians to his fans Wednesday night.

Before record the live video on Instagram, Chance tweeted out two verses from Galatians, and asked his 9.2 million followers, “Anybody wanna read thru Galatians with me?”
“It’s really short,” he added.
