Diane Hawkins’ mother was crushed when she lost her wedding rings in her nursing home after injuring her hand one day, forcing her to leave her rings off. According to KFSN-TV, Hawkins said her mother was incredibly upset when she lost her rings.
After searching through the nursing home, and coming back empty-handed, Diane’s father decided it was time to take action himself.
On Dec. 23, he surprised his wife of 67 years with a new engagement ring, and they caught the sweet moment on video.

Hawkins’s mother was clearly left speechless by her husband’s sweet gesture.
Hawkins lost her rings after having to take them off due to an injury. She claimed she placed them in her jewelry box after taking them off, leading one to question if she lost them or if they were taken.
Many Twitter users, without even knowing the context, were quick to speculate if Mrs. Hawkin’s actually lost her rings, or if they were stolen.
