The religious fast will coincide with the premiere next month of the sequel to “The Lego Movie.” In the second installment, Pratt will reprise his role as Emmett.
“So by the time you see me I’ll probably be hallucinating,” Pratt joked. “Stay tuned.”
What is the Daniel Fast?
The diet Pratt is doing is inspired by the foods eaten by the Old Testament prophet Daniel, according to the fasting plan’s website.
“Entering into a period of extended prayer and fasting is like pushing the ‘pause button’ on life so you can draw nearer to God,” the site states. “The Holy Spirit joins you in this experience as you open your heart to receive from the Lord.”
Those who participate in the Daniel Fast are restricted to virtually only eating fruits, vegetables, and unleavened breads. In addition to spiritual benefits, the dietary plan also offers health advantages.

“Learn what God’s Word teaches about health and your wellness,” the fast’s description reads. “And begin weaning yourself off unhealthy goods. Break poor eating habits. And take the first steps of developing your lifestyle of health.”
