A Louisiana Democrat is due to speak at Thursday’s March for Life, serving as a bold example that life issues can and should be nonpartisan. State Rep. Katrina Jackson (D-LA) is a fierce advocate for the unborn, and has taken to Twitter over the last couple of days to unashamedly pledge her support for the pro-life movement — something that would horrify many Democrats in the current political climate.

“Another 6 am flight for God, the people of District 16, and this great state!!!” she wrote on Twitter January 16. “Headed to speak at the National Right to Life to speak out against the shedding of innocent blood (Proverbs 6:15-19)!”

The passage referenced by the politician, Proverbs 6:15-19, reads:
he will suddenly be destroyed—without remedy.
seven that are detestable to him:
haughty eyes,
a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood,
a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,
a false witness who pours out lies
and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.”

Jackson will appear alongside fellow Democrat, Rep. Dan Lipinski (D-IL), as well as Abby Johnson, founder of “And Then There Were None” and Dr. Alveda King, Director of Civil Rights for the Unborn, along with many others.
The other two politicians who will address the crowds are Sen. Steve Daines (R-MT) and Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ).
“We are delighted to have these four pro-life champions speak at the March for Life rally,” said Jeanne Mancini, President of March for Life. “The right to life is a non-partisan issue and, regardless of politics, we should all unite for life and stand against abortion, the greatest human rights abuse of our time.”
