A powerful video of a man with Down syndrome man urging Congress to reject elective abortions of children with disabilities is going viral again after actor Ashton Kutcher shared it on Facebook.
The video, which features Special Olympian and pro-life advocate Frank Stephens, was posted to Kutcher’s page January 25 and has since received 7.5 million views and over 170,000 shares.
“I am a man with Down syndrome and my life is worth living,” Stephens declared in his powerful 2017 address. “Sadly, across the world, a notion is being sold that maybe we don’t need research concerning Down syndrome. Some people say prenatal screens will identify Down syndrome in the womb and those pregnancies will just be terminated.”

“It’s hard for me to sit here and say those words,” he continued. “I completely understand that the people pushing this particular ‘final solution’ are saying that people like me should not exist. That final view is deeply prejudice by an outdated idea of life with Down syndrome. Seriously, I have a great life!”
“Let’s pursue answers, not ‘final solutions,'” Stephens concluded. “Let’s be America,”
Along with sharing the video, Kutcher simply remarked that “Everyone’s life is valuable.”
The “The Ranch” actor posted the video following New York State’s passing of the Reproductive Health Act, which drastically rolls back restrictions on late-term abortions. In response, many commenters congratulated Kutcher on his courageous show of support for the unborn.
“Thank you for using your influence and platform to share this message,” one person wrote.
“Not enough celebrities are taking a stand for life,” read another comment. “Of course you will get the bullies, that is to be expected. But from me and millions of others – thank you for valuing all lives!”
“You are absolutely correct,” another person remarked. “Everyone’s life is valuable, which is why abortion should be made illegal! Babies in the womb have life and their life has just as much value as everyone outside of the womb. Yet many choose to ignore their value.”
The abortion debate has been reaching fever pitch in recent days, following the proposal of a heinous bill in Virginia which would allow for the termination of an infant life right up until the moment of birth.
