In a sweet candid moment shared to a friends Instagram story, Chris Pratt said that “God is good” talking about his new marriage to Katherine Schwarzenegger.
While being videotaped on his friend Jay Glazer’s Instagram story, Pratt placed his left hand on his heart, while saying, “God heals a broken heart.”
He then jokingly added that he ate about 12 pounds of wedding cake” over his wedding weekend.
The couple got married on Saturday, in an intimate and quiet ceremony at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California.
Pratt announced the couple’s wedding after they were married on Saturday “in front of God, our families and those we love.”
“We became husband and wife in front of God, our families and those we love,” Pratt added. “It was intimate, moving and emotional. We feel so blessed to begin this new chapter of our lives.”
Katherine shared the same photo with the same caption to her Instagram feed as well.
Last January, the couple announced their engagement after dating for seven months. Pratt had separated from wife Anna Faris in August 2017, finalizing their divorce in October 2018.
Pratt began dating Schwarzenegger after he separated from Faris, and has become increasingly vocal about his faith since.
In a May interview with Fox News, Schwarzenegger said that her relationship with Pratt “is amazing” and a “huge gift.”
“I think anyone who finds the person that they get to spend the rest of their life with… it’s a huge gift and a huge blessing, so I feel really lucky.”
