A second-grade boy from Wichita gently leaned over and held the hand of his downtrodden classmate, Connor, when he noticed he was off by himself crying.
The second grader’s mom, Courtney Moore, posted a picture of the encounter on Facebook, praising her son Christian for his kind act.
“I’m so proud of my son. He [saw] a kid balled up into a corner crying, so he went to console him, grabbed his hand and walked him inside of the school,” she wrote. “It is an honor to raise such a loving, compassionate child! He’s a kid with a big heart.”
Earlier this month, a group of three siblings grabbed attention on social media after Jamisha Harris posted a photo of her kids praying together before going into the first day of school after summer break.
“I pray for my children on their first day of school,” Harris wrote. “God, I give them to You. And I ask that, this year, You would use every person and every experience and every lesson to shape them into Your image, to grow in them the fruit of Your Spirit.”
