Senator Maria Cantwell has closed her office on the advice of the Attending Physician after a staff member tested positive for COVID-19. There will be a “deep cleaning” and staff will be working remotely, according to a statement given to Washington Post White House reporter Seung Min Kim.
The statement addressed concerns over whether or not this staffer had contact with other members of Congress, and according to the statement the person in question does not recall any specific interactions that would be of concern.
