We’re living in weird times, and it can be pretty discouraging. But there are also good things happening all around the world.
One of those things happened last week in Cobb County, Georgia, where a new mother and father found a way to make lemonade out of lemons. They introduced their newborn daughter to her great-grandpa — through a window.
Kathy Rezac first shared a video of the touching introduction on Facebook, writing, “Want your day made? Watch this. My granddaughter meeting her great grandfather for the first time. Love shines through windows. Feel free to share – we could all use a little uplifting these days.”
“Is she beautiful?” his daughter asked. In response, the great grandfather said, “She’s everything and more.”
“What a beautiful baby,” he said to his granddaughter. “You did a good job.”
Other families have found creative ways of connecting with their loved ones, too, during the coronavirus pandemic, which has resulted in most nursing homes around the U.S. closing their doors to visitors.
Last week, one young woman, Carly Boyd, from North Carolina revealed her recent engagement to her grandfather through a window in his bedroom.
