Twitter temporarily suspended a Spanish politician last week, after he tweeted a man “cannot get pregnant” because he has “no womb or eggs.”
Although the post was scientifically accurate, Twitter suspended Francisco José Contreras’ account for 12 hours, according to Fox News.
The Vox Party politician shared the comment in response to an article about a biological female who identifies as male announcing she would be giving birth to a baby girl.

Contreras took to Facebook last Tuesday to say he had been temporarily barred from Twitter for “hate speech.”
“The hateful tweet (which I was forced to delete) was one that said: ‘A man cannot get pregnant. A man has no womb or eggs,’” he wrote. “You can see this is already fascist biology. Next time I’ll try 2 + 2 = 4.”
Twitter argued Contreras’ tweet was in violation of its policies against content that threatens, harasses, or fosters violence against others based on their race, ethnic origin, nationality, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religion, age, disability, or disease.
“Keep in mind that repeated defaults may lead to permanent suspension of your account,” warned Twitter. “Go to Twitter not to fix the problem with your account.”
In a statement to LifeSite News, the conservative politician said he and members of his party “will not yield to Twitter imposing a twisted (and anthropologically wrong) worldview” on its users.
“We will continue to speak the truth about human nature,” Contreras said. “Biological truth should not be regarded as ‘hate speech.’ It’s biology, not bigotry.”
