Dozens of medical doctors in Palm Beach County walked out of their hospitals Monday morning over the number of unvaccinated people who have contracted COVID-19 and landed in emergency rooms.

The medical workers — spanning different specialities — staged the walkout in an attempt to persuade more people to get inoculated.
According to The Palm Beach Post, 791,226 of people living in Palm Beach County — roughly 55% — are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
About 62% of the entire population of Florida has received at least one dose of a vaccination. Fifty-one percent of residents are fully vaccinated.
“We are exhausted,” said Dr. Rupesh Dharia, an internal medicine specialist in Palm Beach Gardens, according to Newsweek. “Our patience and resources are running low, and we need your help.”
During a weekend rally in Cullman, Alabama, former President Donald Trump, whose administration oversaw the speedy development of COVID-19 vaccines, encouraged people to get inoculated.
“I believe totally in your freedoms,” he said, “but I recommend taking the vaccine.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) has been touting the vaccines for months, saying the inoculations against COVID-19 are “saving lives.”
“If you look at the people that are being admitted to hospitals, over 95% of them are either not fully vaccinated or not vaccinated at all,” he said. “These vaccines are saving lives. They are reducing mortality.”
On Monday, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration fully approved the Pfizer and Bio-N-Tech vaccine against COVID-19.
