Prolific author Eric Metaxas is on a mission to shatter atheists’ wearied and unvaried claim that science and religion are somehow incompatible and incongruous.
In Metaxas’ “Is Atheism Dead?” he tackles some of the most compelling evidence for God’s existence and breaks down corroborative details the media often fail to give the public.

In the midst of a dearth of information presented in the press, Metaxas said he felt compelled to share the amazing discoveries he has encountered.
“I … came upon so much information over the years from science that points to the existence of a creator God,” he recently told Faithwire. “It became so overwhelming that, at some point, I said, ‘This is nuts. I’ve got to write about this.'”
Listen to Metaxas break down why he believes science is proving God’s existence:
And so was birthed the origins of “Is Atheism Dead?” It’s a book in which Metaxas explains the remarkable evidences that continue to emergence from the sciences — a collective truth about the Bible’s accuracy.
“Science is pointing to God,” he said. “Science is not pushing faith out; science is pushing atheism out.”
Metaxas is hoping Christians start exploring relevant archeological and scientific proofs, as he believes “Is Atheism Dead?” holds the power to “bolster the faith of believers.”
From the complexities of the human body to the purported discovery of biblical Sodom, Metaxas tackles plenty of examples.
Underscoring the importance of exploring biblical corroboration, he also warned of what can happen when people of faith avoid exploring these sentiments and inadvertently allow truth to be eclipsed.
“If you don’t teach your kids the truth and if you don’t remind yourself of the truth, we all forget it eventually,” he said. “And then we’re open to really bad ideas and that’s where we have been, and I think that’s why we’re in such a crazy place right now.”
Metaxas said there’s a raging misconception afoot in culture today: that people can “live fruitfully without God” — something he said isn’t possible and can lead people toward the wrong determinations.
But the book isn’t only for the intensely faithful, as Metaxas said he hopes the average person who isn’t sure what he or she believes will find inspiration to more closely look at proof of God.
