One woman in Atlanta is facing charges after allegedly biting a family member’s chest because he declined to pray with her.
The 49-year-old Dyshannon Norris was arrested last Wednesday for battery after she purportedly dragged a family member down the hallway, pinned him against the wall, bit him, and tore his shirt as he tried to run away, according to WEAR-TV, a local news station in Pensacola, Florida, where she was taken into custody.
Norris purportedly became enraged after her family member refused to pray with her about her mother’s health. She then allegedly began screaming the entire family had been possessed, as seemingly no one in the family complied with her request for prayer.
Officers with the Pensacola Police Department arrived on the scene around 6:30 p.m., where they observed the man’s injuries. The police found a full mouth bite on the left side of the man’s chest. He sustained bruising and was bleeding from the upper part of the bite mark.
The alleged assailant was taken to jail Wednesday evening. She was released on $1,000 bond Thursday.
