“American Idol” alum Janelle Arthur announced the birth of her newborn child last weekend, sharing a Bible verse to commemorate the occasion and proclaiming that she’s in “awe of God.”
Arthur, 32, named her little girl Lovelyn and said the baby arrived just days before doctors expected.
“Just 3 days before her due date, our baby girl joined us on January 16th at 9:37am,” she wrote. “We are in awe of God and in love with our Lovelyn.”
The “American Idol” star also shared the beautiful message in Proverbs 3:15-17, as Movieguide noted. Those Scriptures read:
“She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace.”
These words accompanied a picture of Arthur holding Lovelyn.
Arthur suffered a miscarriage before this pregnancy and had openly discussed with People magazine the pain she suffered, explaining the many emotions she felt as well as her decision to trust God throughout the ordeal.
“It’s hard to put into words what you go through because you have so many different emotions,” she said after her initial loss. “It was as if my brain wasn’t prepared for the loss and the sadness of it all. I let myself cry and grieve. And then I just had to trust Him. I just had to trust God’s timing.”
Now, she is experiencing motherhood after grieving that loss. Congrats to the singer on this fantastic occasion!
Arthur came in fifth place when she appeared on season 12 of “American Idol.”
