A viral video making the rounds online purportedly shows a father in tears saying goodbye to his young daughter.
Believed by some outlets to be filmed in Ukraine amid the current crisis, not much is known about the man or his family — but the video is pulling at heartstrings around the globe.
Tears flow as the dad tenderly says goodbye, fixes his daughter’s winter hat, and speaks with her and a woman presumed to be his wife before putting his family on a bus, likely to find safety, as the New York Post noted.
The man weeps loudly as his daughter also breaks down in tears. It’s a painful and challenging scene that has understandably been getting a great deal of attention in media and social channels:
Despite murky details surrounding the video, numerous outlets have covered it, including Newsweek. The raw emotion amid so much uncertainty and the reality of war is clearly moving people as they watch.
Other clips show similar scenes that highlight the painful human toll of war:

These videos come as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has told men 18 to 60 they must remain behind inside the country in case they are called upon to fight.
There are undoubtedly thousands upon thousands of families who have faced similar circumstances as those seen in these videos, as husbands and families separate amid the deadly chaos.
Today at 10:30 am at the entrances to Chernihiv, Hostomel and Melitopol there were heavy fighting. People died. Next time I’ll try to move the war schedule to talk to #MarioDraghi at a specific time. Meanwhile, Ukraine continues to fight for its people.

As CBN News and Faithwire have reported, Russian troops continue to move throughout Ukraine, sparking fears Kyiv could fall within days.
Putin has said he considers Ukraine’s capital part of Russia, and reports indicate he is making his way toward dismantling and taking it over.
Former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko told CNN Friday Putin is “crazy” and waging war against the entire world — not just Ukraine.
“Everybody should understand, Putin declared a war, not for Ukraine. Putin declared a war to the whole world,” he said. “He’s just simply crazy. He’s just simply evil to come here to kill Ukrainian[s].”
