Silvers told the news outlet the toddler “ran up to the moving vehicle and was struck by the moving vehicle in the private driveway” just moments after a resident, presumably the child’s mother, was leaving her home.
The child’s name, it should be noted, has not been made public.
According to the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office, the tragic incident unfolded around 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Please be in prayer for the parents, family members, and loved ones of this precious child as they process and grieve through such a profound and sudden loss.
