Actor Chris Pratt and wife Katherine Schwarzenegger on Sunday announced the birth of their new daughter, Eloise Christina Schwarzenegger Pratt.

The couple, who posted nearly-identical statements on social media, didn’t provide too many details. But the announcement was met with elation and congratulations from many.
“We are so excited to announce the birth of our second daughter, Eloise Christina Schwarzenegger Pratt,” Pratt wrote. “Mama and baby are doing well. We feel beyond blessed and grateful.”
Fellow celebrities weighed in on the joyous news. Actor Zachary Levi commented, “Congrats, brother! Sending love and light to y’all!” And “Wonder Woman” star Gal Gadot added, “Mazal tov! Congrats.”
Maria Shriver, Pratt’s mother-in-law, also commented, proclaiming, “We are so blessed. Bravo, congrats, lucky Eloise.”
Pratt and Schwarzenegger, who is the daughter of Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger, also have another child together named Lyla, who was born in 2020.
Plus, the “Guardians of the Galaxy” star has a 9-year-old son named Jack, with his ex-wife Anna Faris.
Pratt, who is known for his Christian faith, previously shared two Bible verses in August 2020 in an Instagram post announcing Lyla’s birth. After proclaiming the couple is blessed, Pratt shared the text of Psalm 126:3 and Psalm 127:3-4.
Those scriptures read:
The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy. -Psalm 126:3
Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate. -Psalm 127:3-4
Pratt has openly discussed the joys of fatherhood, telling E! last year he’s open to having a bigger family and will have as many children as God allows.
“I would love to have more, as many as the man upstairs will provide,” he said last summer. “We’ll do it. I’ll probably have to talk to Katherine about that, but my plan is, let’s go.”
