Richie Dulany, a gas station clerk, heard tires screeching and screams, and he immediately bolted to the scene of the nearby accident. A woman had been trying to cross the street with young kids when two cars collided. They were reportedly hit in the process, WFAA-TV reported.
“They were innocent; such things shouldn’t even happen like that,” Dulany told the outlet. “The stroller was in the center of the median.”
One of the little kids, whom he said appeared to be under the age of 5, had what seemed like a head injury, so he laid down with her to keep her awake.
“I just laid with her to make sure she stayed awake,” Dulany said.
The man said he is hopeful the woman and three children will survive the horrific ordeal.
“I hope they all make it,” Dulany told WFAA-TV.
Dulany deserves accolades for taking the time to comfort and help the family.
Pray for the woman and children, who remained hospitalized, and for their loved ones struggling during this time. Police continue to investigate the incident.
