Good Samaritan David Pride recorded the nail-biting scene after motorcyclist David Le crashed into an overturned car that couldn’t be seen in the dark.
Pride, who was screaming, “No, no, no!” as cars nearly hit Le and as another vehicle crashed and burst into flames, said he knew he had to do something — and quick.
“At that point, I’m like, ‘OK, God wants you to live, let me go get you,'” he told KCBS-TV. “‘[God’s] gonna make sure I’m good if I go out here and get you.'”
So, Pride rushed into the chaotic traffic, risked his own life, and dragged Le to safety — and the entire ordeal is captured on cell phone video.

“I just had to do it,” he told the outlet, encouraging others to help when they see similar accidents.
Tragically, at least one person was killed, and two others were seriously injured in the chain reaction of crashes. But, remarkably, Le survived, suffering only a fractured wrist.
The victim later spoke out and thanked Pride, with Le sending the hero a video from his hospital bed.
“I really want to thank you for doing what you did out there,” he said. “[You] put your life on the line by pulling me out of the road. I really appreciate it.”
Prayers up to Le, who is recovering, and for the other victims of this terrible tragedy.
