Diane Ferraro, CEO of the pro-life nonprofit Save the Storks, is on a mission to combat abortion by helping educate and equip women in their most desperate times of need.

Ferraro’s organization is on the front lines of saving unborn babies’ lives and helping pregnant women thrive, with 90 mobile medical units that travel around to provide ultrasounds and other services.
“Our ministry just celebrated its first decade of life-saving work,” she told CBN’s Faithwire at last week’s March for Life. “We’re best known for our mobile medical units that create a story of hope and empowerment for every woman facing an unplanned pregnancy.”
Save the Storks has helped 33,000 women and has saved over 11,000 babies, according to Ferraro. The organization partners with churches and pregnancy centers in 30 states to provide such services.
“It’s all about her choice,” she said. “Her choice to parent, her choice to choose adoption. She’s brought on the stork bus. She sees the baby’s ultrasound.”
Listen to Ferraro share her story:
Seeing an ultrasound can often lead women to realize they have human lives in their wombs and turn back from seeking abortions.
“We are providing real choice, actual truth,” Ferraro said. “We’re providing the science about her baby. And we know that four out of five women, when they see the ultrasound and hear the heartbeat, they choose life for their babies.”
Save the Storks is now preparing for a new battle, though, as the abortion pill is slated to become available at pharmacies and through the mail — an expansion that has pro-life organizations and advocates deeply concerned.
“We definitely need prayer … and funding, because we had a goal of having 400 mobile medical units across the country by 2031,” she said. “And after we heard about Walgreens, and CVS, and Rite Aid … we have now upped that to … 1,000 mobile medical units, which are stork buses serving communities across the country.”
Save the Storks has also launched ForEveryWoman.org, a brand-new initiative aimed at helping women through a variety of much-needed services. The website offers information on mental health services, childcare, financial services, and more — assistance that will be even more needed in the post-Roe era.
“We’re looking for churches to get involved with this movement, to get involved with ForEveryWoman.org,” Ferraro said. “So we can provide women with actual services and we want to really empower her. We want to tell her she’s brave enough and she’s strong enough.”
