Prominent pro-life activist Abby Johnson is praying for an “exodus” with the launch of a new campaign aimed at getting as many abortion workers as possible to abandon their jobs and change their lives.

Johnson’s organization And Then There Were None (ATTWN), a group dedicated to helping ex-abortion clinic workers rebuild their lives, will launch Exodus 2023 next week.
The campaign will be preceded by a webcast on Monday, April 3, 2023, at 9 p.m. The online event will feature Johnson, a former staff member at Planned Parenthood whose journey is documented in the feature film “Unplanned,” and other former clinic workers who will coalesce to encourage clinic workers to leave and start fresh.
Exodus 2023 will officially take place on Good Friday, with the webcast, help from sidewalk advocates, and social media efforts being utilized during the week to push clinic workers toward a mass exit.
“Abortion workers are often overlooked in the national debate on abortion, yet they suffer immensely because of their job and what it entails,” Johnson exclusively told CBN’s Faithwire. “No one knows what it’s like except other workers. But it doesn’t need to be that way — they can leave and we can help.”
Johnson said ATTWN can help with work and emotional healing for those leaving the industry, offering to connect them with other former clinic workers who have walked the same journey.
“We hope they will walk out on April 7 and walk into the arms of people who love them and want to help free them from the abortion industry,” she said, noting many workers suffer from PTSD, suicidal thoughts, and substance abuse.
On the practical side, Johnson said ATTWN can help with resumes and will even offer sample resignation letters to anyone who needs such resources. But emotional needs will also be met through retreats and other related efforts.
ATTWN has already helped 640 men and women leave their jobs at abortion clinics — and that number is only poised to rise.
Johnson said many people in the abortion industry first entered to try and help women but, once inside, a great deal realize the reality is quite different. Those who have fled, she said, have experienced transformation and peace, and she wants the same relief for others.
“It’s not normal to work in an industry that takes innocent lives by the thousands every day or to see what these workers have seen,” she said in a statement. “There are so many other better options for them and we can be that bridge to help them get out.”
