The cofounder and lead singer of the hard-rock band KISS is condemning the “dangerous fad” of embracing sexual and gender transitions for minors.
Paul Stanley, 71, shared his perspective in a post published to his social media accounts.
“There is a BIG difference between teaching acceptance and normalizing and even encouraging participation in a lifestyle that confuses young children into questioning their sexual identification as though some sort of game and then parents in some cases allow it,” he wrote.
While Stanley explained adults should be free to make the lifestyle choices they want, he wrote, “Turning this into a game or parents normalizing it as some sort of natural alternative or believing that, because a little boy likes to play dress up in his sister’s clothes or a girl in her brother’s, we should lead them steps further down a path that’s far from the innocence of what they are doing.”

The rocker’s remarks come as transgenderism and the treatments that accompany it — particularly among those who are underage — has become an increasingly hot-button issue.
Last year, during a rambling response to TikTok celebrity Dylan Mulvaney, a male who identifies as a transgender female, President Joe Biden said, “I don’t think any state or anybody should have the right [to ban transgender surgeries and treatments] as a moral question and as a legal question.”
Additionally, in March of last year, the Biden administration seemingly endorsed transgender treatments and procedures for minors. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Population Affairs released a series of documents last spring, including one titled, “Gender Affirming Care and Young People.”
The document promoted “top” and “bottom” surgeries as well as puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones for minors, according to Fox News.
It should be noted the push from the White House comes as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has warned of the potentially serious side effects of taking puberty blockers.
The FDA’s warning came after Biden’s Assistant Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine, a male who identifies as a transgender female, said the U.S. government should not do anything to limit minors’ access to “gender-affirming care.”
“Gender-affirming care is life-saving, medically necessary, age-appropriate, and a critical tool for health care providers,” Levine said. “As a pediatrician, when it comes to making sure kids are healthy and happy, I know how important care that affirms someone’s true identity can be.”
