Kids from Anchor Church in Houston, Texas, were on their way to a camp along with two adults when they escaped just seconds before the van caught fire and was engulfed in flames, KHOU-TV reported.
“Faith has to play a part in it,” Jordin Williams, a mom to two campers, told the outer. “We believed and we prayed over those kids.”
The incident unfolded while the kids traveled in the van with a youth pastor and his mom.
The group smelled smoke and pulled over just before the unthinkable happened.
“My son … said, ‘Mom, it was 60 seconds from the time we got off the van that it was completely engulfed,” Williams said.
Fortunately, everyone was able to get to safety and the children took another van to summer camp, where they’re currently enjoying their time.
“All I can do is thank God that they’re OK,” Williams said.
Shocking footage shows the fire overtaking the vehicle.
