NewsNation anchor Chris Cuomo is calling out President Joe Biden for sending a “mixed message” on where the U.S. stands in the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas terrorists.
Cuomo’s remarks came in response to news of Biden’s call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, whom the president reportedly pressured to move forward with a ceasefire in Gaza, despite the fact the terrorists in the region — the villains responsible for the deadly attack in the Jewish state on Oct. 7 of last year — have, thus far, refused to make any concessions.

Biden also urged the country to devote additional time and resources to humanitarian concerns in the Gaza Strip, according to CBN News. During the call with Netanyahu, the president said the Israeli government’s response to his demands would dictate U.S. policy toward Israel moving forward.
Cuomo rebuked Biden for determining his actions with Israel through an electoral lens. The president, the anchor said, is “treating the war against Israel as if it were another political point of compromise.”
He acknowledged Biden is feeling pressure from the far left to appease pro-Palestinian interests.
Some of the most radically leftist members of the Democratic Party — so-called “Squad” members Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), Cori Bush (D-Mo.), Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), among others — made clear during Biden’s State of the Union address in early March they are not pleased with his middle-of-the-road approach to Israel.
Another “Squad” member, Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-N.Y.), called Israel an “apartheid” state and angrily asserted the rapes and child murders perpetrated by Hamas terrorists in October of last year were actually all a “lie,” according to recently resurfaced footage from mid-November.
“There’s still no evidence of beheaded babies or raped women but they still keep using the lie,” Bowman said, at the same time calling the allegations “propaganda” from Israel.
@amyjvele Ceasefire NOW! Todays rally in White Plains with congressman Jamaal Bowman speaking on his call for ceasefire in congress. One of 25 members to call for a ceasefire.. out of 535 members. We’ll see you next Friday! We wont stay silent, we wont let business as usual to continue. We wont be let our elected officials to ignore Israels crimes #protest #freepalestine #ceasefire #westchester #fyp #newyork ♬ original sound – 𝒜𝓂𝓎 𝒥 ⋆.˚ ᡣ𐭩 .𖥔˚
This week, Bowman attempted to paper over his inflammatory statements.
“As I said at this rally, what Hamas did on Oct. 7 is a war crime and they must release all the hostages,” he said in a new statement. “The U.N. confirmed that Hamas committed rape and sexual violence, a reprehensible fact that I condemn entirely.”
Nevertheless, Biden is attempting to appease that faction of his party as he makes demands of Israel, failing to take as strong a position against Hamas, the terrorist organization governing the Gaza Strip.
Cuomo was clear Thursday in his condemnation of Biden’s handling of the situation.
“I get how worried you are that you’re not going to have the same base you had the last time,” he said. “But that is not an excuse to be weak. There’s a primary reality, OK? We seem to have forgotten it: Hamas is a terror organization. You designated them as that. They stole people. They need to give the people they stole back to us — to Israel — first. The hostages have become an afterthought, and that is wrong. And the reason it has happened is even more wrong. The reason it has happened is because other political exigencies and agendas have overtaken their relevance.”

This latest disagreement between Israel and the U.S. comes as the Jewish state is increasingly feeling abandoned by the world, CBN News reported.
Former Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations and Knesset Member Danny Danon said this week, regarding Gaza, “Our mistake was a few months ago when we listened to the U.S.”
Israeli Labor Party lawmaker Daniel Ben-Simon, a left-leaning politician, is feeling alone, too.
“Even for left liberals, there is a sense of isolation and frustration,” he said. “The right will tell you this is the nature of being Jewish. But even people who hate Netanyahu are feeling they can’t count on the world community.”
