Beloved “Full House” star Candace Cameron Bure is urging her social media followers to “vote like Jesus” on Election Day as America decides whether former President Donald Trump or Vice President Kamala Harris will be commander-in-chief in January.
The Christian celebrity used her Instagram stories to share a YouTube link of a message from Pastor Josh Howerton, in which the Texas preacher offered his thoughts on “how to vote like Jesus.”

“Christian,” Bure wrote, “if you are undecided on whether to vote or who to vote for, please watch!!”
Howerton, who leads Lakepointe Church in Rockwall, Texas, called on Christians to participate in the United States’ political system, echoing the sentiments of recent “Faith vs. Culture” guest Dr. Jeff Myers, founder and president of Summit Ministries.
It’s important to note neither Bure nor Howerton have endorsed a candidate for president.
“So what’s going to happen?” said Howerton. “Check this out: if godly leaders, godly pastors, and godly voices all go silent or refuse to be clear on issues related to politics and government, then the only voices that are left are the godless ones. So we have to understand this, that if we don’t do this, they will.”
In a post accompanying Howerton’s message, Lakepointe wrote: “Your vote is your voice, and it has the power to slow the decay of society. Remember, when we step up, we’re not just participating in politics; we’re making a divine impact. Jesus is Lord over all government! Let’s stand firm in our faith and make a difference.”
At another point in his message, the minister said it’s “completely unbiblical” to believe religious leaders shouldn’t be commenting on political happenings.
“Thirty million Bible-believing Christians abdicated their spiritual responsibility and did not vote in the last presidential election,” he said. “That last election was decided by a strategically placed 42,000 votes.”
Howerton urged Christians on Election Day to walk into their polling places “as disciples” and perform their “God-given job” of voting for president.
